29-09 23rd Avenue, Astoria, NY
Get ready Greek food lovers! Get out and up your appetite. Are you ready for the best lamb chops outside of Athens? Are you ready for the best lemon potatoes with orzo? Are you ready for a whole fish platter followed by a plate of Feta followed by spinach followed by the ***best stuffed peppers*** in NYC?
Parking is horrible right in front of Stamatis...don't even try it. Instead do what Audrey does whenever she visits this little corner of heaven on earth located in the best section of Astoria...
PARK IN THE MUNICIPAL LOT BEHIND
Long Island City
Park in the municipal lot behind Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant and Sovereign Bank. These businesses are located on 31st St. But the municipal lot is behind the bank and you have to drive UP 23rd street (away from Stamatis--I know it goes against your first instinct--you have to drive to 33rd--make a left--which is a street under a subway tunnel and--magic--you are at the back of Sovereign Bank and Los Amigos where there is a municipal lot. There is a little walkway that takes you out onto 31st street, Sovereign bank is on your right, Los Amigos is on your left.
Now, just walk a few stores to 23rd and cross the street to Stamatis.
I can also meet anyone at the bar at Los Amigos if you prefer.
However you get there, just remember your goal is to get to 23rd Avenue and 31st Street. That is the magical corner of Astoria where Audrey will be found if she is ever told she has only 1 week left to live and it must be lived out in Queens, NY.
