Cafe Sci: "Thinking about Neurodevelopmental conditions in adulthood"
CHANGE OF VENUE - ANTENNA, BECK STREET, NG1 1EQ
Dr Jo Jones
Consultant Psychiatrist in the Nottingham City Asperger Service
From Leo Kanner in the 1940’s onwards the definitions and understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions has grown. Our speaker, a consultant psychiatrist in Notts Healthcare NHS Trust, will draw on her experiences with adults with autism for 20 years, and in the last 4 years with the newly established Nottingham City Asperger service (for adults without learning disabilities) to talk about the area.
MEETING FORMAT: Our speaker talks, uninterrupted for 20 minutes, to introduce his topic. During a break to get drinks, the Hat goes round. Then there is an hour’s chaired question and answer session. Cafe Sci is funded by the Hat (no sponsors). We suggest a contribution £5 (waged) or £2 - £3 (unwaged). Full details here
