Invitation to have your say - Focus Group on Research Data, Data Sharing, and the policies of Journals (Project JoRD)
Centre for Research Communications (University of Nottingham)
Research data costs the country millions of pounds. Project JoRD (funded by JISC) based at the University of Nottingham is looking into the area of Research Data sharing which enables the re-examination and re-use of this valuable information. More specifically it is looking into the feasibility of setting up a policy bank to provide a central resource of the data sharing policies of academic journals.
More information on this project can be found on the Centre for Research Communications website and also the JISC website (Managing Research Data stream).
We would like to invite you to come along and give your input to this project.
Do you generate research data? Do you share your data? How do you share it? How do you feel about this? Do you re-analyse the research data of other people? Would you welcome a policy bank of journal research data sharing policies? What are the issues involved in this area?
ANYONE ATTENDING THIS EVENT WILL BE ENTITLED TO A FREE DRINK OF THEIR CHOICE AT THE BAR.
