Position Background
APT is seeking a highly creative, energetic Lead User Experience Designer with a passion for creating intuitive and enjoyable front-end experiences for our flagship enterprise web application. As a Lead User Experience Designer, you’ll own UX design for our product. You’ll be taking huge amounts of data and analytic workflows and creating an intuitive experience for our users. Your interfaces and interactions will be critical components which help our users make multimillion dollar decisions with confidence.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead and take ownership all facets of UX to make a great product
  • Make interfaces that are beautiful and elegant
  • Ensure information is structured in a way that makes the most sense
  • Create interactions that are enjoyable
  • Develop user interaction and interface deliverables, including sketches, wireframes, and visual designs
  • Understand and incorporate users’ needs into UX development process
  • Help build a roadmap for an innovative and holistic user experience across APT’s software
  • Participate in the process of collecting feedback on idea sketches, wireframes, and implementations from client teams and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members (product managers, front end developers, and other UX designers) through the entire design and development process
  • Help develop and grow UX standards
  • Have a flexible approach to changing priorities in an agile work environment

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in designing usable interfaces for web apps (2-5 years)
  • Solid problem solving skills, attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
  • Expertise in wireframing and creating visual comps (and the tools for doing this)
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback from non-designers
  • Strong visual design sense (sample portfolio required)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, or related major preferred
