With the Introduction of Workflow Manager, there are a lot of new features/functionalities got added to the SharePoint 2013 style workflows both in SharePoint 2013/2016 and SharePoint Online. We can now use SharePoint REST APIs in the workflows. This feature provides an opportunity to implement the complex business requirements when the existing out of the box actions/activities may not be sufficient.

In this demo-driven session, we will explore how to consume the REST APIs in the custom workflows built using SharePoint Designer as well as Visual Studio. This session will also cover best practices around using REST API in custom workflows. The contents of this session are applicable for both SharePoint On-Premises 2013/2016 and SharePoint online / Office 365.
