The Ride: Detail
********************
For your riding pleasure NoVA CBG presents Sundae Funday @ Ice Cream Jubilee (DC).

Summertime means hot weather so let's cool off with a post lunch [& post HolleyW&OD] Beginner(+) Level ride to get some tasty ice cream from Ice Cream Jubilee down on The Yards Park waterfront.

This is a casual paced ride of about 12 mph and 14.5 miles distance and is a "No Drop" ride. The route is an out and back that will leave from the Washington Sailing Marina and follow the Mt. Vernon trail past Gravelly point park and cross over the 14th street bridge to the Jefferson memorial. Once in DC we will use paths and streets to follow along the water (with some pretty views) passing the District Wharf, National Stadium, and finally cutting over to The Yards Park where we will stop at Ice Cream Jubilee. After trying their amazing ice cream we will follow basically the same route back.

Check out their flavors and get excited!!

We are going to Ice Cream Jubilee which makes their own unique and delicious flavors, including some infused with alcohol (don't worry it's not enough to affect your riding!). They have a 5$ minimum if you want to use a card, so bring cash if you can.

We will PARK IN THE OVERFLOW LOT, BUT will physically meet in front of the restrooms at the Washington Marina on Daingerfield Island. The restrooms are located in the parking lot closest to the Triple Craft restaurant. Again, We WILL NOT PARK in the Triple Craft parking lot as it needs to be kept fairly open for restaurant guests and we don't want to wear out our welcome.

The Ride After The Ride:
********************
There is no plan for the "ride after the ride" since we will be having ice cream in the middle of the ride.
