The Ride: Detail
*******************
For your riding pleasure NoVA CBG presents The Thirsty Thursday Ride.

Do you think you're ready and want to try a SOLID MEDIUM level ride? The entire idea of this ride is to (A) Learn how to read a cue sheet (B) Raise your average ride MPH from a beginner pace to a medium level pace (C) Have fun.

We welcome strong Beginner Level riders that want to try a Medium Level ride in a structured environment that are willing to push themselves and get better as the weeks go by. This is a NO DROP ride so you will not be left behind but you are expected to really try to keep pace. If you normally ride faster than 15mph you can use this ride to practice your "keeping pace" skills. The goal is to do this ride smoother, better, and faster each time we do it.

This is a mostly flat ride from Jones Point to Fort Hunt starting on the Mt. Vernon trail. We will be crossing the GW Parkway at Tulane, and onto the neighboring streets on our way to Fort Hunt Park. Of course those of you familiar with this route will know we have the hill known as "The PUNISHER" as soon as we enter the neighborhood. Once we get to Fort Hunt we will do laps (or you can rest) for a bit before heading back the way we came.
