All Levels: Bike-In Movie (Flashback Friday) - 5:30pm to 8:00pm. ************************ The Ride Description: ************************ For your winter riding pleasure come on out and join us for our winter Bike-In Movie (BiM) ride series. Simply bring YOUR bicycle out to Spokes (Quaker Lane) and we will put it on our NoVA CBG owned CycleOps stationary trainers and ride while watching some fantastic "flashback" movie. It is a great way to stay in "biking" shape over the winter and can be quite fun when watching a movie with others. IMPORTANT: IMPORTANT: If your bicycle has a "Thru Axle" setup you'll need to eventually purchase a trainer adapter skewer but we currently have two that can be used. * Arrival: 5:30pm * Movie Begins: 6:00pm * Cleanup Begins: 7:45pm * Spokes Closes: 8:00pm ************************ Rules of the Theatre: ************************ * Please be on-time with your bike. * Please realize that "Late Cancellations" or "No-Shows" will effect your ability to participate in future BiM's. * Please understand there are limited spots available. * Please understand that you don't have to be "riding" the entire time. * Please sit and enjoy the movie if you aren't riding. * Please realize you cannot leave before the movie is over. * Please don't disturb those that are riding during the movie. * Please realize we are guests at Spokes and we say "thank you" with our patronage. * The "Ride after the Ride" will be at Ramparts which is right next door to Spokes. ************************ Items you may need: ************************ * Bring a sweat towel, your water bottle (Spokes has a water fountain). * Ted (or others) may be bringing "Ted Snacks" but always have a snack on you just in case we don't have anything on-site. * GARMINs can be used as well as BIKE COMPUTERS to track distance and speed as long as you have a speed sensor and it is mounted to your rear wheel. * If you do this often, you'll want to put an "old" tire on your rear wheel, the "heat" from the trainer wheel will flatten out the tire over time. ************************ The Movie: ************************ Grease (1978) PG-13 | 1h 50min https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077631/ ************************ The Meeting Spot: ************************ Spokes Etc. 1545 North Quaker Lane Alexandria, VA 22302 Sunday 10AM–5PM https://spokesetc.com/ ************************ The Ride after the Ride: ************************ Ramparts Tavern and Grill 1700 Fern Street Alexandria, VA[masked]http://www.rampartstavern.com/ ************************ The Fine Print: ************************ (Helmets are NOT required) An RSVP of 'YES' is your digital signature and means you have read and understood MEETUP.com's "Terms of Service : Section 6.
