Developing audio is known to be one of the most difficult programming challenges due to impenetrable low-level code, genre-specific jargon, and unpredictable results in which bugs can produce feedback, distortion, pops, etc. Tools such as The Amazing Audio Engine try to help reduce the code complexity, but achieving good results is still difficult. AudioKit aims to make every programmer able to add interesting, useful, and amazing sound to their projects through friendly syntax, sensible defaults, and real-time feedback during the coding process, not after compilation. AudioKit is a free, open-source framework for iOS and OSX (Objective-C and Swift) available at .

Aurelius Prochazka, the primary author of AudioKit will present a demonstration of installing AudioKit in a project and rapidly developing instruments and sounds for that project.

Every month, we meet for some tech talks and free beer. An iOS developer will present their talk and then we'll have an hour for networking and drinks. Topics will stay specific to iOS. Open-source projects are highly encouraged, no product placement in talks. We cannot hold the door open for everyone once the talk has started. Please reach out to Steve Derico if you are interested in speaking.
