Annual Meeting

Although we usually hold our annual meeting in October, we are moving it up to August this year due to a large number of tasks we need to accomplish. It has become apparent that despite a large number of people on the board of directors, the majority of the work is handled by a few. This situation requires some analysis of the work being done and some reform to ensure that duties are taken more seriously in the future. I recommend the following actions: 1. Eliminating board membership unexcused inactivity. 2. Require board members to pay dues according to the following schedule: Chairman and President: $500 each Vice President: $300 Directors: $200 Board Members: $100 Students: $25 Membership Dues: $50 **Honorary directors and donors will not be required to pay dues. Additionally, we will waive dues upon a demonstration of financial hardship. Membership in the Tesla Science Foundation greatly benefits members, the organization and the world. Specifically, members enjoy reduced cost admission to conferences and the opportunity to be selected to sit on the board of directors. We have a lot scheduled before next year's July events and we will need to raise money and advertise for the events well. You can track all of our activities at . If you have not yet joined, please do so, as you will also receive e-mail updates about our activities. In the meantime, we need to create a fundraising committee and a building fund committee to work on getting a physical location for the Tesla Science Foundation. Does anyone have any suggestions for improving our advertising material/t-shirts? We've printed and given out hundreds of t-shirts, but I rarely see any members wearing them. Perhaps we should also discuss a dress code for the board of directors. This is just a suggested agenda. Please send me your input and I will adjust the plans for the meeting accordingly. Your input and positive suggestions are always welcome. Send suggestions to [masked] We are always looking for new members willing to work towards promoting the life and legacy of Nikola Tesla. I expect members to devote at least 1 hour per week. If you're not able to meet this expectation, we still welcome your membership, but please do not take on responsibilities if we cannot count on you to fulfill them. We will do our best to keep those of you unable to attend connected via skype or maybe even webinar, but it would be best if you could attend as the connection at the library isn't always great.

Oh, I guess it was about 4 stars. I liked that there were presentations before the actual business, allowing me to depart at that point rather than sitting through what may have been otherwise tedious. The people were interesting to talk to

I am growing fond of renewable energy ideas and ways to give back to the environment. I would be interest in journalizing the changes people have seen over time.
