I look forward to addressing Alex's 3 points, and earning your vote, with my video submission, this weekend. I will serve you well as community chair.

Very talented and capable members running for the Board. It's too bad there aren't more positions available. I hope that the current Board finds new and innovative ways to keep candidates who don't win involved with NYTM, such as through committee chairmanships, or as project leads. The pizza and beer were a nice touch, too!

I appreciated the ability to hear the candidates speak. 2 minutes wasn't a lot of time to get a sense about these folks, and it would have been helpful I think if they'd been given a specific list of questions to answer so that we could compare their approaches to a set of issues, for example. Still it was an appreciable effort by NYTM to put it together.

Everyone running for the board position showed that they where truly dedicated to promoting the beliefs and values of NYTM and all want to take the start-up scene to the next level in the NY community

As a candidate, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to present my platform to the NYTM membership. Thank you to Jessica Lawrence for organizing and New Work City for hosting.

If you weren't able to attend and have any questions about my platform, please don't hesitate to email me at [masked].

    Thank you for your consideration.

Overall great meet up. Thought we needed more time than 2 minutes per candidates. A projection of the bio could have helped as well.

Looking forward to coming and hearing board candidates thoughts on i) how to improve the ticketing process for the NYTM ii) how to make the talk selection process for NYTM more transparent iii) how should board members and organizers performance be judged?
