Re: [newtech-1] Is the current IT job market unstable?

I am finding the same thing.  I am a senior level software manager/architect and have gone on a number of interviews in the past six months which seemed to be going great and then the position vanished due to funding or restructure or whatever.  I think I would much rather lose to another person at this point.

Subject: [newtech-1] Is the current IT job market unstable?

Hi all,

As some of you know, I just moved back to NY from the west coast about two months ago, after been gone for many years. I just started my job hunt in April and so far found my job experience "odd".

I have interviews almost everyday with different companies calling me to start the interview cycle, but as I go through the interview cycle half way through and the job req closed.  I even had one where I went through the whole cycle (1 month worth); they loved me and said how great I was but they close the req due to lack of funding.

Is this common? It seemed like the east coast IT job market is very unstable now, or is it just my luck?
