Haha Ed would highly recommend never giving your friend money to invest. I've done very well with my broker - his philosophies are quite the opposite. He's 24/7 and cares a lot... All the time.

As a broker friend said; between 9:30 - 4;00, I would kill my mother, rip out her heart, suck out every ounce of her blood, and then do it again to make a dime. Just for a dime. Of course after 4:00, I would bake her a cherry pie and say love you mom, lets eat.

If you have money to put in the market, really I suggest instead you spend it on a trip to Goa or Bali a bender in Amsterdam, or a week in Miami Beach. Maybe finance a bunch of iPads for a girls school in Kabul. Your Karma points will zoom. And how much more interesting you will be at that next Greenpoint party. Really! Our lives are so short, and then we die. And it happens in a blink of the eye. You want to make memories. ;-)
