For $4 a month if they implement nationwide LTE then I’ll be using their sims for “other” projects and 1gb a month per sim will be plenty of bandwidth.

Freedompop works, it's on the Sprint/Clearwire WiMax network currently, but they plan an LTE transition.

They're currently offering 500MB free, but 1GB for only $4/month; either should be enough for email, especially if you disable default image downloads.
