Yes I would be interested in mentoring students.

I'm looking for part-time work I'm in the process of writing a book, and receive a small disability pension as a disabled vet and am only allowed to work part-time. Even so I believe I have some good skills and experience to bring to a job. I will do any kind of work as long as it is legal and pays half way decent. Please don't say I'm over qualified, even people with an education and work experience need part time employment. I'm a hard worker, reliable, conscientious, and take pride in a job well done. I'm looking for something permanent. Live on the LIRR easy commute into city. Attached is my resume along with references, just click on the links below.

Subject: [newtech-1] NYTM_Job: Mentoring International Students

Hello folks,

I work for an International Educational company that is looking to hire Mentors (career professionals or graduate students) that may be interested in supporting international undergraduates in their academic and career choices.

We are hoping to create these connections as many international students find it not only challenging adjusting to the American education system, but are unsure as to how to utilize internship and job experiences to build their skill base and resume (especially with international students being limited in the type of work opportunities that they can pursue).

Work would be performed remotely, via Skype and would require about 30-60 minutes' dedication per month per student over the course of the next school year. Mentors will be assigned about 5-10 students.  Training to occur over the summer, and services to begin to be executed in August 2013.  Small stipend to be provided.

To express, please email your resume to [address removed]

Feel free to pass this message on to others that may be interested.

Thanks so much!
