I use an OLD IBM-R60 with 7gigs of boost-Ram… and 3gid of internal Ram  this thing zips and never crashes. 

 

I’ve owned two Dell’s “company supplied and both ended up in the Garbage”

My 17" MacBook Pro fell no less than 5 times from the loft bed - 6 feet high unto a hardwood floor and only has dents and scratches. Nothing ever cracked or busted as a result of those drops. 

 

Dells are garbage, everything the Andy said is true.

Agreed on all points save one - the keyboard on the x220 was what sold me - way, way better than anything that Apple produces. It's a _real_ keyboard that allows for very fast, accurate touch typing.

OTOH, mine recently took a two foot spill onto carpet. It survived, but there's a nasty crack in one corner now :( Oh, and the wifi on the x220 is just total bunk, and it can't be easily replaced because of Lenovo's horrible whitelisting policy (the BIOS won't recognize non-Lenovo wifi cards, even if they're identical except for some string in a ROM).
