Win Runner isn?t really a prototyping tool.? Axure looks like a unique product.? If you were looking for a performance testing tool I think the grinder is the bees knees: https://grinder.so... <https://grinder.so...;
?
Also for system prototyping of a more technical nature Naked Objects can be leveraged for useful prototypes:

?
I use win-runner (the product from Mercury - also known as code-runner and QTP - QuickTest Pro) and am very dissatisfied with it. ??It works - barely, kind of, fragilely - and it's good enough because I know of nothing better. ?I would be surprised if it has the ability to record response times but would be happy to find out that I'm wrong.

 Vicki - if you find something better, I'd love to hear about it. ?I'm doing software QA that sounds relatively crude compared to what you're attempting, if I understand your requirements properly, but would like to find something more reliable and robust.

 I have some ideas on how to make a better product but need more Windows (internals) knowledge to get something going.

 An alternative, if you're working closely with the developers, is to have them embed features to aid your testing. ?I've had some luck with this method. ?I've written a little about this at https://www.jsoftw... (search for "GUI + command line").

 Good luck,

 Devon
