I am the principal owner of a small technology consulting firm specializing in systems development for the hedge fund industry. I am searching for the right candidate to join me at our primary client: a large, technologically progressive hedge fund in midtown Manhattan.  

 

I have operated as the architect, project manager, and sole developer on each of my assignments thus far. I am looking to bring the right candidate on board to help deliver the highest quality software systems for our primary client.

This is a contract position.  You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate.

 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Delivering the highest quality technical solutions with efficient time-to-market 

• Taking full ownership over the tasks assigned 

• Meeting with the team leads of the various business practices to ensure business needs are strictly met 

• Clearly communicating project status to the client when necessary 

• Clearly documenting business processes and development efforts consistent with standards established by the client  

 

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years professional software development experience 

• A proven track record of success as a software professional 

• Proficient object-oriented development skills 

• Strong database development skills 

• Full SDLC business application development experience 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

• Investran
