New Yorkers Against Religion-Based Bigotry Pages

By "religion-based bigotry," we mean both (1) bigotry against people because of their religion and (2) bigotry rooted in or excused by religion, e.g. bigotry against gays.

NYARBB is in process of formation. NYARBB has existed as a concept and as a Meetup site since early 2007. However, serious outreach and organizing have begun only in September 2008.

In 2008, most of the former contents of this "About Us" page were moved to the About NYARBB page on the main NYARBB site.

However, the main NYARBB site is very out-of-date. A more-up-to-date presentation of our current concerns will be posted soon. In the meantime, the best way to get a feel for what we're about is to look at our events, both future and recent past, here on the Meetup site.
