Canadian Powder Highway ski trip (Revelstoke, Kicking Horse, Lake Louise, Banff)
• What we'll do I want to do a ski trip down the Powder Highway of Canada starting at Revelstoke, going to Kicking Horse after then Lake Louise and finally Sunshine Village (Banff). The plan is to fly into Kelowna, BC on Saturday February 24th and take a 2.5 hour bus ride to Revelstoke. Do 2 days in Revelstoke then head over on Monday night to Kicking Horse for one day, then 2 days at Lake Louise (Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days at Sunshine Village (Friday and Saturday). Then head over Saturday night to Calgary. Fly back to NY on Sunday. I would be up to take a day off in between to just chill or maybe add an extra day to take a break from all the skiing. This is not a beginner friendly ski trip. Revy and Kicking Horse are super steep resorts. If you can't ski double blacks in Vermont then you won't enjoy Revelstoke and Kicking Horse. You don't need to be an expert since I am hardly one but you need to be able to ski double blacks. I would say this is good for advanced intermediate to expert skier/snowboarder. I started skiing only 4 years ago. This is my fourth ski season. I want to coordinate with those of you coming on flights and such so please if you are RSVP make sure you are definitely coming. This will be an epic trip. Western Canada is having their best ski season this year and the winter hasn't even started yet. Send me an email to metope@gmail.com for details. Flights are around $400 round trip right now. I looked up NYC to Kelowna and then Calgary to NYC. We will take a bus in between the resorts. The bus tickets will be about 50 to 100 CAD. I will find cheap accommodations at each place. I figure about $50 a night per person or maybe less for accommodations. If you're coming get the Mountain Collective pass. You get 2 passes each to Revy, Lake Louise and Sunshine Village. That's 6 in total. It's $489 right now. It also included Sugarbush in Vermont. If you get at least 8 days out of it, it pays for itself already. MC Pass: https://mountaincollective.com/

FAQs:

How do I get a ride or offer rides?

Post on the comments section of the event that you are going to that you need or that you have space in your car. Please wait until at least two weeks before the event to ask for a ride. We try to carpool as much as we can because a lot of people don't have a car and it's more environmentally friendly.
