Everything was closed for Easter, but it was still a great day for a great ride around Brooklyn!

David, we did PDS the whole way. All points well taken and feedbacks appreciated. It was a gorgeous day with lots of people; some people might have been more immersed in soaking up the sun and socializing then paying attention to the leader/riders in front of them. No to mention, restaurant closures forced us to change routes, adding to the confusion. No harm done, as we lost no one.

Despite the restaurants being closed on Easter, it was a gorgeous day for a ride. Varying levels slowed the pace a bit, but good folks are always fun to hang out with. We had our meal together in the end and that's what's important :)

One taco, tamarindo juice, half a veggie burger, some fries, one Shot Jock, and 3 orangey ones. The whole day was a riot and Rich is secretly HILARIOUS !

Turned out to be Man v Food - Brooklyn "PRE"-ride, AKA Easter Sunday Ride In Search of Destinations! Thanks to everyone for chipping in to drop/sweep, and that huevos rancheros at Zocalo was awesome. I plan to reschedule this ride to a later date.

I enjoyed the ride even though we didn't get to the Foodie places because they were closed.. I still had a great time cycling in Beautiful weather and meeting some cool people. We did get to eat a taco or 2!!
I would suggest a Drop and sweep , I was cycling (going to cycle straight on at Bedford) someone shouted Turn right, which was the correct turn, but after that we were not sure which way to go?
It has been used a lot with other groups and this one too. A little surprised it was not used today. There is slow riders, but also Traffic lights can seperate us all!! You do need some system in place for sure, people will get lost..or go too far behind.
Garrett , once again Thanks for the ride, you are a very good leader and Professional on the road.

The weather was great, but a number of the restaurants were closed, unfortunately. I'm not sure how it could be done, but I think it'd really help if we could split the riders into slower & faster groups because we got split up a number of times, which I think made it really hard for Garret to manage. Maybe having multiple leaders, one for each group. Since I have a old, beater mountain bike that I could ride, that would, in effect, somewhat handicap me, I'd be willing to share in the help lead the slower group, though, I wouldn't want to do it every time.

Argh! As much as I was looking forward to this bike ride I think it might be too cruel for me to go and watch everyone eat the pizza and the roast beef dipped sandwich! Stupid Passover! So someone on your waiting list can take my place. sigh. Next time!

Raven, I love fries too, but we are only riding to the three places featured in Man v Food BROOKLYN episode! Pomme Frites ain't even in Brooklyn! We'll do a fries - poutine ride some other time.

Good looking peeps, it should be around a 20-22 mile trip. I've also updated the group FAQ, so please give it a read when you get a chance, especially "What do I need to bring on a ride?" Helmets are mandatory, so please wear one. Also, for those who were on the Staten Island epicness, you saw me fix three flats, so bring a spare tube for your bike! It can be a long walk to a bike shop or a train station in a place like SI.

We are leaving from Fort Greene Park at 11AM sharp, as we need to make it over to Williamsburg Bridge in 30 min. If you are running late, call/text me and head over directly to Williamsburg Bridge for rendezvous. Thanks.
