Join us for a ride to several Trinidadian restaurants in Brooklyn to enjoy iconic snacks from the island! The ride costs $10 and includes doubles from two different restaurants.
What are doubles? They're incredibly flavorful fried flatbread sandwiches stuffed with seasoned chickpeas and topped with tamarind and/or hot pepper sauce. Though this ride includes only doubles, you'd be free to buy other Trinidadian and Guyanese foods such as bake sandwiches, aloo (potato) pies, curry goat, vegetable lo mein, and more.
We'll meet at Grand Army Plaza on top of Prospect Park at 12pm (wheels down at 12:15pm) and ride through Bed-Stuy and on to Cypress Hills / East New York. If the weather is nice, we'll enjoy our doubles in a lovely park in the neighborhood. I'll lead people back to Grand Army Plaza after the ride or can give directions on how to get home straight from Cypress Hills.
The ride is $10 if you send your payment by September 19th. After that point, it will be $13. The ride can only accommodate 20 people so to confirm your spot, please send $10 to Cassandra on either Venmo or PayPal.
See you soon!
