Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around as much lately to organize events or answer emails. Unfortunately I don't have as much time to organize events as I would like to, nor do I have access to Meetup or my personal email during working hours. Starting tomorrow I will be taking over as Organizer of the New York City German Language Meetup Group. I will still post some events here but you might want to get on both lists so you don't miss any events. Also be sure to check out some of the other German Language groups within the Meetup community, they're all great groups.
There are tons of German Language events happening all over New York and I encourage all of you to sign up and look for for mailing lists, other Meetup Groups and University websites. Also if you share information with the group through our message board and Facebook I'm sure other members will be grateful for the information. One such group I'm a Facebook fan of is the German Consulate page. Below is some information about it from one of our longstanding members, Elke, who just happens to work at the Consulate. So please sign up and share it with your friends.

Ganz lieben Gru?,

One of our members, Elke, is working for the German Consulate General and asked me to share with you the following message:

Dear German Language and Culture fans,

The German Consulate General is doing its first steps on facebook and would greatly appreciate your support by becoming our "fan". Please join us and be among the first to learn about new cultural events and other interesting facts on Germany:

If you have not done so yet, please also subscribe to the newsletter of the German Consulate. We not only keep you informed about our cultural events, but sometimes have some cool raffles with free tickets for concerts. To subscribe to our newsletter, please click here:

Vielen Dank,
