Flavorpill Seeks Passionate Rails Developer (no rock stars or ninjas)

From: Steve
Sent on: Monday, May 31, 2010 1:51 PM
Hello All,

We're looking for an experienced lead developer who loves what they do. ?

ABOUT US
Flavorpill is a fun place to work. ?We're in a soho office loft with high ceilings, great views of the city, free snacks, and good people. ?Really good people. ?Flavorpill is all about the best events in NYC - when you work here, you have prime access to those events and an increased knowledge of this great city. ?More about us: http://flavorpill.com/about

ABOUT THE GIG
We're considering both freelancer and full time with benefits, so please reach out if you're interested in either one. ?At the very least, we need your full time attention for three to four months. ?You'll be working with one designer and one PM, but you will be the sole developer on the project (with some help, as needed, from the consulting company who built our platform).

ABOUT YOU
  • You are an individual, not a consulting company.
  • You have experience building?Ruby?on Rails applications and have good, solid code to prove it.?
  • You're familiar with agile strategies like RSpec and story-based planning.?
  • You are obsessed with REST.? Or at least like it a lot.
  • You know your way around a Git repository.?
  • JQUERY and CSS don't scare you.?
  • You communicate good (and realize that statement is not grammatically correct)

if you or someone you know is looking for a good gig, please ping me.

Thanks!

Steve
