Hi All, my company, www.PolicyMic.com is looking for a new lead web designer.

Our goal for PolicyMic is clear – we want to be the best destination for millennials to have high quality conversation about social, political, and cultural issues.

We want our top thinkers to reach a huge audience.

In 2012, we made great progress. We reached over 5 million monthly unique visitors and grew our engaged community to over 25,000 people. In 2013, we are planning on fully redesigning the site to create more compelling presentations for our amazing contributor stories and building better tools for conversation.

As our designer, you will lead this effort. Here are three reasons this is a special opportunity:

1. Building innovative designs for telling important stories on the web

The stories we tell are important, shareable, and engaging. Your first goal is design an interesting and cutting-edge way to tell stories. Our community is made up of top millennial thought leaders. We want to give them the most engaging medium for sharing their opinions.

2. Creating cutting-edge tools for our community to engage in thoughtful discussion

Our second design goal is to build better tools for discussion. We are changing the standards for commenting on the web through our level-system and platform. We obsess over building a commenting system that is valuable to users – both as a forum for thoughtful conversation and as a tool for promoting our top community members. Our team is metrics-obsessed so we will arm our designer with the data and user feedback needed to make impactful decisions.

3. Our developers will deliver your designs exactly as your imagine them

Whatever you think of, we'll be able to implement. With Martin and Anthony, our team of developers will be able to turn your nuanced designs into a pixel perfect web application. We have the front-end talent that will make your designs look even better in Internet Explorer than they do in Photoshop (well, almost).

If this sounds like the position for you, drop me a line at caltchek@policymic.com.

You can read the specifics here.

If you have someone in mind for this position, send them our way. If you refer the designer we hire, we will thank you with $1,000.
