Simon Kirk, Director of Business Development, InVision
Simon Kirk heads up growth for InVision in New York, supporting both large brands like Amazon and Disney and agencies like Ogilvy. Previously, he served on the leadership team at Two Toasters (acquired by Ticketmaster), which designed and developed mobile applications for Google, AirBnB, Birchbox, Regal Cinemas, and many others. Simon has held varied roles, from product management at a startup, to co-founder of the nonprofit RaisedBy.us.
InVision is the leading design collaboration platform used by nearly 2 million people worldwide. We provide an end-to-end design platform that takes an idea from concept to code.
About 70% of Fortune 100 companies are now using InVision including design teams at Disney, IBM, Walmart, Apple, Verizon and General Motors.
We are creating a feature-length documentary about how designers are changing the landscape of business featuring AirBnB, Twitter, Uber, Dropbox, Etsy, HubSpot, Spotify and many more.
David Boardman, Senior Design Lead, IDEO
Sera Koo, Senior Interaction Designer, IDEO
Marco Righetto, Senior Interaction Designer, IDEO
As Interaction Designers, our role is to set the stage for conversations and design tools that can enable communication between people, objects, environments, and information. SMS is often underestimated, but is a powerful tool for prototyping these conversations. From design research to hacked simulations of products and services, SMS is a simple tool that goes a long way.
David Boardman is a Senior Design Lead at IDEO New York. He leads the Interaction Design discipline, and guides teams that design across multiple touch points to elevate people’s experiences and create innovative new businesses.
Sera Koo is a senior interaction designer and Grumpy Cat ambassador at IDEO. She’s happiest when she's prototyping experiences and making accidental discoveries.
Marco Righetto is senior interaction designer at IDEO with a passion for bringing delight by surfacing information in unexpected and relevant ways. He’s most excited when he can experiment with projects at the intersection of the physical and digital world.
Liam Spradlin, Design Lead, touchlab
Liam Spradlin is a UIUX designer working primarily on Android. He’s the lead designer at touchlab, and a Google Expert in UIUX. Liam has worked with clients including GE Appliance, the National MS Society, and the independent developers of apps like Nova Launcher, AllCast, Today Calendar, and Focus.
At touchlab, Liam helps partners craft Android experiences with great design as a foundational principle, whether the product is Android-first or expanding from other platforms. Whether it’s type design, interface, or illustration, Liam spends a lot of his free time continuing to explore design. Outside of that, you can find him behind a camera or writing blog posts.
Mutative design is a theoretical design methodology that would allow interfaces and experiences to be born, live, and evolve according to a user’s realities. With mutative design, things like physical ability, lighting, and vision are accounted for automatically, allowing interfaces to be engaging and accessible to every user, without compromise.
