FREE Audubon Eco-Cruise part of City of Water Day.
Pier 83, Circle Line
New York, NY

This is a one way tour from Pier 83 to Governors Island.

Boat Tour: As part of City of Water Day, a celebration of the waterways and harbors of New York City, NYC Audubon is offering a special eco-cruise past Hoffman and Swinburne Islands exploring the natural history of the area.
See some of the 3,000 gorgeous herons that fly from the South to nest on small islands in New York Harbor. Hosted by Audubon naturalists, this cruise will take you "up close and personal" to see these majestic birds. Cruise under famous city bridges and past renowned monuments, take in views of the city's skyline and get to know some of its lesser-known aviary residents. Youll learn about the ecology of the harbor and understand why the harbor islands have become home to thousands of birds in the last few decades. The cruise departs at 10:00am but we are meeting at 9:30am at Pier 83 approximately 30 minutes before departure time. Tickets unclaimed 15 minutes before departure will be made available to standby passengers.
