The Metro NYC Environmental Meetup Message Board › Volunteers needed BusinessClimate 2011
New York, NY
A colleague of mine is in need of volunteers for September 19 and/or 20 in Manhattan for the BusinessClimate Conference 2011. If you are interested in volunteering please contact David directly at drl2121(at)columbia.edu. Please see his email below for more information.
The theme of BusinessClimate 2011 is that sustainability and climate change are at
the heart of the next great transformation of global business. In particular, we see
a Moore's Law effect emerging where market expectations around these issues are
driving investment, which is leading to innovation.
BusinessClimate brings together leading executives, entrepreneurs, and financiers
to discuss the opportunities of employing sustainability practices. The 2010
conference featured speakers such as Sir Richard Branson; Former Costa Rican
President Jose Maria Figueres; CEOs from the Carbon War Room, CDP, Ceres, and
Soledeo. Visit www.carbonrational.com to see the confirmed list of 2011 speakers.
Please let me know if you're interested in volunteering for any of the below:
a.) September 19th, 2011 9am to 1pm: preparations for the conference
b.) September 19th, 2011. 5-10pm. VIP Cocktail Reception at the top of the
Empire State Building.
c.) September 20th, 2011. 7:30am-12pm and/or 12pm-6pm. Sustainability Conference @
PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Midtown Manhattan.
Volunteers can choose any one or all of the shifts.
Please e-mail David at drl2121(at)columbia.edu if you'd like to volunteer or want more
information on the conference.
