Jewish Heart for Africa is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that brings sustainable Israeli technologies to rural African villages.

Mission: The Projects:

Our first initiative, Project Sol, installs Israeli solar panels to provide power to African schools, clinics, and water pumping systems. Our second initiative, Project Agro, uses innovative Israeli agricultural practices such as drip irrigation to make agriculture possible in regions of drought, providing food for villages and promoting economic growth.

The Purpose:

Jewish Heart for Africa facilitates development in Africa using clean, alternative technologies in order to fight climate change, conserve water and provide for sustainable economic development. We work with Israeli companies because they offer cost-effective, innovative technologies in close proximity to East Africa. Most of our funds are spent in Israel through the purchase of Israeli technologies, stimulating growth within the Israeli economy while improving Israel’s image around the world. By using Israeli innovation to save African lives, we foster a mutually beneficial partnership between Jewish Diaspora communities, Israel and the African continent.

The Practice:

We are currently operating in Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Uganda. To date, our projects have impacted the lives of 150,000 African villagers.

100% of individual donations are used to fund our projects in Africa.
