New Meetup: Eat, drink, and speak Hebrew...

From: Mor
Sent on: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 10:49 PM
Announcing a new Meetup for The New York City Hebrew Language Meetup Group!

What: Eat, drink, and speak Hebrew...

When: Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 3:00 PM

More info:

What: Spend the afternoon over snacks and drinks speaking Hebrew!

Why: I decided on an informal get-together, since the Tuesday night monthly meetups, while great, might be tough for some people's work schedules and don't always allow everybody to mingle. Plus, it will offer a change of scenery, and no waiter eager to take your plate away...

How: I'll provide some basic food and drinks, but ask that everybody bring either a dish to share or a bottle of wine. [Note: I do not keep a kosher kitchen.] *Please note in your RSVP comments what you will be bringing (once you know).

Where: My apartment - West 53rd Street at 8th Ave. I'll email my exact address and cell phone number the day before the event to those who RSVP 'yes' or 'maybe', but it's quite close to that intersection. There is subway service within about three blocks for the A, B, C, D, E, N, Q, R, W, and the 1, plus Columbus Circle is only six blocks away, offering a few more trains.

When: See above - Sunday, January 31st, from 3pm until the food, wine, or conversation runs out.

Who: Anybody wanting to speak/practice/hear lots of Hebrew...

That's all I can think of, but let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!
