Dick Wall is a veteran Java software engineer with over 3 years of full time Scala experience. He focuses primarily on enterprise applications with a strong science and mathematics bias. He is co-host of the Java Posse podcast, founder and co-organizer of the Bay Area Scala enthusiasts, and the creator of the open-source SubCut library, a pragmatic approach to dependency resolution in Scala.

Bill Venners is president of Artima, Inc. a site dedicated to enterprise development matters in the Java space. Is is author of ScalaTest, an extensive and flexible Scala testing library. In addition, Bill is the editor and co-author (with Martin Odersky and Lex Spoon) of the Programming in Scala book and has been using Scala full time for over three years. Together Bill and Dick run Escalate Software, offering Scala training and consultancy services.
