Introducing Xamarin 2.0 (http://blog.xamarin.com/announcing-xamarin-2.0/), the next generation of Xamarin's mobile C# development technologies for iOS, Android and Mac. This talk will provide an overview of what's new in Xamarin 2.0, including the free Starter editions, the Xamarin Studio IDE, the Component Store, and Visual Studio add-ins for Android and iOS. We'll take a tour of many of the new features, including a deep dive into building an app for iOS and Android in C# using Xamarin Studio.
Michael Hutchinson (https://twitter.com/mjhutchinson) has been a core contributor to the MonoDevelop IDE and other open source C# projects since taking part in the 2005 Google Summer of Code. In 2007 he joined Novell, where he was responsible for developing the IDE tooling for Mono's web, mobile and Mac technologies. In 2011, Michael joined Xamarin help make Xamarin Studio the best IDE for mobile development.
