How did you become interested in permaculture?

I love Nature and from what I understand permaculture has the potential to solve a lot of problems that we have on earth at the moment. I had my first introduction to permaculture during a workshop at Ananda Ashram held by Jonathan from ELP.

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

I'm currently looking for the right course for me.

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.:

sharing ideas and awareness. I wish I has more sun in my apt to grow something, but I want to grow my own food one way or another, working on it ...

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

videos, websites. I love Geoff Lawton, too bad he's in Australia...

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

Oh Goodness... I'd say practical ways for individuals to make choices that are more sustainable. I cant stand banks, but we kind of need them... is there any sustainable banking in the US that is safe? I know in Europe there is Triodos and it's rocking. Waste is almost an obsession for me... food is health, so important...
