Open Space for Occupy Mvmt this fri...come one come all

In 2011, Occupy Wall Street changed the conversation. It was the year of the activist.

What will it take for the 99% to continue to find each other, build on OWS’s unexpected success, grow and move forward strongly and wisely?

What will it take for us to be more powerful than corporate greed?

Please join this community gathering to explore these questions!

DATE: Friday, January 13th, 2012

TIME: 6pm to 10pm

LOCATION: Unity Hall, 235 W. 23rd St between 7th Ave. and 8th Ave.

FOOD: Likely :)

CHILDREN: We’re trying to find childcare

ART: Bring instruments, art supplies

We will be gathering in an Open Space Format that incorporates anti-oppression values.

Open Space consists of decentralized conversations that are harvested and posted immediately and on-line for all to access. The “break-out” style agenda is formed by anyone who offers to lead conversations. You only join the conversations that awake your passion and interest. This Open Space is ours to define and the harvest is ours to share forward.*

We invite you to reflect, connect, and create together.

We invite everyone who is intrigued by OWS, but may not have participated yet.

We encourage OWS activists to invite that friend who’s been looking for a way to plug-in to OWS; that family member who only ever asks, “What are your demands??”; that skeptical co-worker; that neighbor who was too busy and never visited Liberty Park.

Let’s enter 2012 with a gathering that demonstrates what collective wisdom looks like!
