Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to send out this special reminder to let you know that I will be giving a special presentation this Thursday at the We Work space in Korea-town (5th Ave. & 34th St.) where we had the December holiday gathering. There were 18 of you signed up for our original date a couple of weeks ago before we were snowed out, but only a few of you now. I hope you will all come for this make-up date. I've worked really hard on my first big PowerPoint, packing it full of a lot of info and cool pictures for you, so I really hope to have a good crowd to share it with!

Here's the summary:

The presentation will examine some of the challenges to increasing the profile of women as leaders within the larger permaculture movement, while taking time to highlight some of the local projects done by the female members of our Meetup group and other conference attendees.

After a break for networking and small group discussions, there will be a second presentation on applying permaculture design principles to community building--making the so-called "invisible structures," more visible. Specifically, there will be an examination of the midwifery model of childbirth and homeschooling from the permaculture perspective.

I think we'll have a very lively discussion with some thought-provoking videos for consideration and sharing with friends. I hope to see you there!

**Also, the make up date for the February meeting on Regional Initiatives will be presented during the March Monthly Meetup next Tuesday, March 4th, so I hope you will be able to make that as well.
