Located in the Hudson Valley 90 miles north of NYC; 20 minutes from New Paltz, NY

Camp Epworth is a host site for: permaculture design courses, children���s programs, a new straw bale farmhouse, forest gardens, and wilderness trails!

We will meet one weekend per month for a total of 6 weekends

Permaculture is an ethical design process for a way to live sustainably within our ecosystems & our communities. It is based on observing nature and making connections across disciplines & over history, with the goal to meet human needs, while leaving the earth healthier & more abundant for future generations.

Students will study permaculture principles, woven through a range of topic areas, using a variety of learning methods: lectures and interactive discussions, slides and films, design exercises and hands on activities.

Topics Include: Climate Systems, Sustainable Agriculture, Forest Gardening, Natural Building, Renewable Energy, Reading the Landscape, Natural Pattern Recognition, Trees and Ecological  Regeneration, Water and Alternative Waste Systems, Bioremediation, Alternative Economies, Building Strong Communities and More...
