We need volunteers to organize this event! Please email Gloria offlist: strangest at comcast dot net

As usual: no recruiters, no hiring managers, no solicitation of any kind, no sign-in sheets. If anyone has problems related to this, tweet this issue using #NYCPythonMeetup on the spot.

The big question is how far can YOU walk and WHERE would YOU feel safe waking at particular times of the day.

now a bus stop next to a police station is pretty safe but Google doesn't include that in their selection of bus routes; ie walking instructions are worse than BETA.

Surgery and an accident left me feeling unwell. Out of town next week. See everyone in a few weeks!

I wasn't familiar with the acronym LPTHW (I know know it is Learning Python the Hard Way) - which isn't quite what I'm looking for (I'm an experienced developer - 25+ years, with some Python experience already - moving into more Python programming, rather than a programming newbie). I spent about an hour there "lurking" and eavesdropping, sorry - I wasn't sure who to introduce myself to, nor what, even the format of the event actually was. (A more descriptive description for this series would have been quite helpful - maybe a link to the LPTHW website?) Will try to make the Tuesday office hours next 2 weeks, although after that Tuesday nights aren't great for me.

Sorry I couldn't make it this week! Sad face. :(

Hey, by the way you're all invited: Thank you for your positive contributions to society.
