community journalism one town at a time. We employ a full-time
editor for each community we serve, and create personalized
news in towns across the country, encouraging participiation
from local users with our high-quality content. We've been very
successful in meeting our goals so far, and with a big
expansion planned for 2010, we need your help!

We currently have openings for experienced software developers
to design, implement, and improve our Ruby on Rails-based local
news platform. You have experience building and scaling user-
focused web applications, are an independant and creative
thinker, and have a strong desire to take ownership of software
projects at a small but rapidly growing company.

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2+ years experience developing database-backed web
Strong familiarity with Ruby on Rails & MySQL (or a similar
framework & DB).
Comfortable with agile software development practices.
Experience working with Git or other VCS.
Excellent communication skills with both engineers and non-
