The New York City Russian Language Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • Feb 5, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our favorite and long-time location - Phebe's (at 359 Bowery--corner of Bowery and E. 4th St)
Come to the back room and enjoy good cheap food/beer (7-8pm is happy hour) and great conversation with a broad array of people who are interested in Russian language and culture. If this is your first time, don't panic, we are very laid back group of all speaking abilities, no need to be in practice before attending the meeting :)

Has it ever occurred to people on this chat that such conversations should be conducted privately, rather than posted on a public board and everyone's email flooded with this nonsense?
May be I'll start a meet up that teaches email etiquette.

I'm not feeling well and don't want to get anyone else sick, so I'll have to wait till next month to meet everyone.

I'll buy a drink to whomever an analyze how my last name via Ellis Island in the 1910's...went from it's original cyrillic spelling to Vovcik to Wovchko by the late 1930's
