Kevin Stickney will discuss efficient heating and cooling systems to achieve the decarbonization of heat at the commercial and municipal scale. This is based on geo-exchange anchored solutions, microgrids and even district energy. Additionally, he will discuss the network effects (CO2 and cost savings, grid benefits etc.) of scaling geo-exchange across an organization, as achieved with supermarket portfolio’s in the UK.

7:10-8 - breakout into our sub-committees to discuss and plan NYEW’s upcoming Energy Design Thinking Challenge which will take place in December. Topics of discussion will include (but not limited to) urban transportation, smart energy improvements in buildings, the transforming relationship between utilities and ESCOs. We will be planning and designing the scope and needs for addressing the ideas at the challenge.
