CSS Animations and JavaScript

This presentation by Adam Bankin will discuss manipulating and randomizing CSS Animations with JavaScript whilst still maintaining a separation of concerns. It'll cover optimizing performance with browser dev tools, appropriate DOM animation methods plus the benefits of web fonts, pseudo elements and game mechanics.

Adam is a front-end engineer at Shutterstock, Inc with 14 years experience working with web technologies in Australia, London and New York.

He likes cat gifs, sunny days and can eat his own weight in Pringles.

**There will be refreshments (pizza, beer) provided!**

Also: Please include your real name as requested during RSVP.  This is for security protocols to enter the building.  You will not be permitted entry without your name being on the list.

OK, I finally cleaned-up & converted the presentation and have now uploaded it to slideshare.

You can grab it from here:
    http://www.slideshare.net/asjb/randomising-css-animations

The links should still work in it and if you have any questions please post them back here.

Apologies for the delay in getting it out there.

The CSS3 animation techniques were really cool and it was great that he shared his experience with the group. I'm looking forward to more of these meetups.

First off, thanks for all the feedback - it's great to hear that many people found it useful.

JD, I haven't posted the deck yet. I'll do that this weekend and update this page. I need to tidy some of the notes in it and change the image sizes due to copyright.

Did Adam post the deck that he said he'd post after the presentation? If so where do I find it?

Any chance of this group being set to semi-private so everyone's full name isn't mapped to their meetup names and all of their groups then easily sucked into Google for eternity? (that is, set to only be shown to other members)

Hey thanks! I think there is maybe a semi-private setting that allows people to still see the events and some more info but not specific RSVPs – it might be too restrictive now? And just to clarify I don't think anyone would have a problem with their name on this or most groups, it's more meetup's rather weak privacy settings overall that could potentially leak into the big G.

Hey, this is the "semi private" option. I'll ask the Meetup people...
