• ComedyBots: Real Robots + Real Comedy

    The PIT (People's Improve Theater)

Custom-built robots. Clever engineering. Live comedy. What more could you want? Join us for the very first installment of COMEDYBOTS: where engineering teams compete to build the funniest, most absurd robots -- and YOU pick the winner. COMEDYBOTS features REAL robots performing live, improvised comedy with REAL humans... with a robot "tear-down" at the end of the show, hosted by the engineers! .................................................................................................................... Please RSVP to secure your spot! Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door (this pays for the venue). .................................................................................................................... WANT TO BUILD A ROBOT? Before each episode, volunteer teams work together to design and build an outrageous "comedy bot" -- all with the goal of making YOU laugh. This is a great way to learn about electronics (including circuits, radio control, and soldering), mechanics (building a basic drive train), and software platforms like Arduino and OpenTX. Teams are open to anyone with an interest in building a robot -- plus it's free! (Though most teams need a sponsor to cover the cost of building the robots). If you'd like to get involved building or sponsoring robots, please email [masked] for more info! .................................................................................................................... • Learn Git and GitKraken Workflows

    MLH HQ

Want to find an easier way to interact with Git and GitHub than using a command line? Git is powerful, but memorizing commands is hard, and how Git works can be tricky to visualize. Come out to MLH HQ to learn how GitKraken's Git Client allows you to enable the same workflows with a just a few clicks on a visual interface. Participants will use GitKraken to simplify workflows and collaboration with Git as well as learning how to manage tasks with Glo Boards. No prior coding experience is necessary, but experience with Git and GitHub is helpful. Please bring your laptop. Refreshments and food will be served. The workshop will start at 6:45 pm.
