Head Hunting + nyhacker = No

From: Brandon D.

First and foremost: a big thank you to everyone who came out last night. It was great to hang with you!

That said, I wanted to briefly address some feedback we've received related to head hunters and non-techies coming to the Hacker Townhall for "coder" recruiting purposes:

NO.

nyhacker is first and foremost for hackers, by hackers. We host the townhall (and offer free drinks, pizza, and an open projector) exclusively for the benefit of developers: not for marketers, salespeople, car mechanics, or even librarians.

However, we do welcome (and encourage!) anyone who is interested in learning more about coding, technology, etc to attend. We're as n00b friendly as can be.

But if you're planning on using the next townhall to head hunt or peddle warez: don't. You will be asked to leave.

Thanks for your support and understanding,

Brandon
