Introduction to NixOps - NixOS
This talk is an introduction to NixOS, a Linux distribution that leverages a purely functional package manager called Nix. We'll take a look at how NixOS packaging and configuration management works, and see how its unique design sets it apart in terms of reliability.
There will be plenty of time for questions!

Charles Strahan started contributing to NixOS in early 2014 and has since become a committer on the project. He's the current maintainer of the Ruby/Rails application packaging infrastructure and also maintains roughly 80 other individual packages. He presently resides in Brooklyn, New York, works remotely for Decipher Technology Studios (developing a soon to be released open-source platform), and tinkers with Haskell in his free time.
