This would be a good intro to back-country camping for anyone interested in trying it out. It will be an hour of paddling and no portage, to get to and choose our lake-front camp site.

Camping = free (non-operating Provincial park). If weather is really bad, we can postpone without worrying about reservations

Difficulty:
Beginner level. If you've never tried back-country camping, come try it out. If you're experienced, join for an easy trip.
About 2-4km paddling (each way), with no portage.

Feel free to ask lots of questions and suggestions, but please dont expect anyone to do the work for you.

General Plan:
Friday: Launch from Access Pt at 5pm, paddle to find a good camp site on Fishog L.
Saturday: depends on group preferance; either leave camp setup, and do a day trip to explore the area, or paddle in a bit further to another camp site
Sunday: Pack up, and leave when you need to. I'll likely drag out my stay, like usual :)

Launch Point:
112 Fishog Trl, Kawartha Lakes, ON K0M 2B0
44°45'55.6"N 78°53'11.7"W

$10/day. u will see signs to leave cash in envelope and put in mailbox.
(if you need to arrive another time, you could meet us at the camp site)
(Backup access pt): Digby Laxton Boundary Rd & Baker Blvd

Map:
I suggest downloading the online map free on ur phone on Avenza Maps; https://store.avenza.com/pages/app-features
once u DL the app, search the store for the map;
Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park Backcountry Map V0.9

Equipment:
U will need to bring ur own boat + gear + food (unless u rent, or ask to borrow ahead of time). I have some extra gear, so ask if u need.
-Dogs: I'll likely bring 2. More are welcome. good alarm system, animal repellent :D

Drive:
About 2.5 hrs from GTA. To carpool for efficiency, comment in the event
