What we’re about

Ocean Breath Series aims to gather and to create interactions and community among those passionate about science and engineering for ocean protection and exploration but also human performance and art. We follow the casual and informal approach of Meet-ups to expand our passion for freediving out of the water and to share it with a broader audience.
We are curious about what work is conducting and what the implications of the findings might be for everyone.
Organized by AUTBioDesign Lab in collaboration with Auckland Freediving Club we regularly (generally once a month) organize film projections, talks with scientists out of their labs, relevant personalities, and workshops around it.
Each event follows a simple and informal format including an unstructured conversation/presentation (or screening) and discussion time around a theme, faculty or guest speaker as well as open networking and free time after to interact.

Feel free to contact the organizer proposing films, themes, topics or speakers to participate!
