- Join Our Friends for the Vegan Outreach at The Outlets at Orange
Help APRL spread the word about the benefits of a plant-based diet to patrons at Outlets at Orange, and get a free tasty vegan lunch, courtesy of APRL, for your efforts! Note: Please try to arrive no later than 2:15 pm. Also, please note your "yes" RSVP will preclude someone else from attending, so if you RSVP "yes" but later decide not to attend, please inform the host and change your RSVP as soon as possible. Leafletters estimate that for every 200 vegan leaflets distributed, one person goes vegan. That's 100 animals saved per year, or thousands over the course of a new vegan's life. Let's see if we can create 10 new vegans and save 25,000 animals! We'll educate passersby and hand out literature from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm. Then we'll hit a nearby vegan restaurant (within 12 miles of the Outlets) for lunch. Lunch is free for the first six people to RSVP! Don't miss this outreach event! Parking at The Outlets is free. By participating in this event, you agree to adhere to APRL's Expressive Activity Guidelines (http://tinyurl.com/3oaqcuq). Please read and abide by these guidelines.

- Join Our Friends For the 2019 2nd Annual Kindness to the Planet Event
The 2nd Annual Kindness to the Planet Event! Looking to make changes to your diet? Are you veggie curious? Want to become a healthier you? Looking to become conscious of the animals and the planet? The Veggie Connection is a network event where attendees are exposed to a host of plant based vendors, speakers, entertainment, and more. The Veggie Connection aims to not only create awareness regarding the plant-based lifestyle, but to ensure that it is accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for all who are on this journey towards wellness and abundance. The Veggie Connection Event was created to fill the space where these sorts of events are not occurring. We feel that people shouldn't have to travel far just to experience an event of this nature that usually occurs in a major city. Our events are based on a more intimate type setting. We like for our attendees to be able to take their time to talk and interact with each vendor, speaker, entertainer, and not be overcrowded. Attendees can relax and enjoy themselves in an air condition facility or in a park setting with blankets and tents. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or other. The Veggie Connection Event will provide you with helpful information through plant based wellness options. We strive to make our events fun and inclusive, with all the diverse reasons in which people choose a plant based lifestyle. https://www.facebook.com/therealveggieconnection
- Join our friends from Random Activists for Get Political for Animals
It is terribly inconvenient for people who use animals for profit, for food, for research, for fun to recognize that animals are thinking, feeling beings who have lives that are separate from their uses for humans that deserve to be recognized. It is the height of hubris to dismiss these different kinds of lives as not being worthy of consideration just because they are not like us. A quick look at human history makes it clear that this belief is all too common and not just towards animals, but toward any group that can be distinguished from another. It is neither accident nor coincidence that those with power seeking to demonize groups (immigrants, Native Americans, etc.) as 'other' call them animals. To be identified as an “animal” is to be devalued immediately, to lose access to even the most basic rights. Because humans control the narrative, animals have not been accorded the rights they inherently have and the respect they deserve. How many different ways have you tried to get justice and compassion for animals like whales, sharks, dogs, cats, horses, wolves, tigers, elephants? The list of species being threatened seems to be endless. How many thousands of petitions signed, phone calls made, marches attended and still the threats have not gone away or even diminished. In fact, they seem to be exploding at an alarming rate. Let's do something different. This group is a part of the newly formed California Chapter of the League of Humane Voters, a national organization seeking to protect and advance the rights of animals through legislation and advocacy. Please join us. We need your energy, your passion, your kindness, your technical, creative and secret skills. Animals need more than your voice, they need your vote. By bringing together groups of committed, compassionate, persistent, and politically-minded people, we can affect real change. We are creating a practical, focused organization that puts pressure on politicians to see the plight of animals, not as an afterthought, but as a reflection of how the world treats those it considers "other" and act to stop cruelty and find better, more compassionate ways to live to improve everyone’s way of life. We need to make sure our representatives at the city, county, state and federal levels know that if they want our votes, they must do more than say the right things in public, they must follow through and support legislation that helps animals. They must truly represent us by becoming vocal and legislative champions for animals. If you are interested in working with like-minded people to make a difference for animals and for humanity, please join us at our monthly meeting on Friday at 6 PM. We will have water, coffee, vegan snacks, music, and chair dancing. Feel free to bring something more to eat if you want. Please bring your own washable cup, if you can. Address and directions will be sent when you RSVP. Please click on the link below for more info. https://www.meetup.com/RandomActivists/events/259422620/

- Join Our Friends From The Humane League to protest Americas biggest food chains!
Join Our Friends From The Humane League to join forces in protesting one of Americas biggest food chains!! Recently THL has launched the imnotlovinit campaign against Mcdonalds to fight & speak up for the billions of animals that are breed every year. These animals suffer from the moment they're born in some of the most unimaginable conditions! We will be peacefully protesting In Fullerton, CA on June 23rd! After the silent demo we will head over to Healthy Junk in anaheim for a late lunch, make new friends and eat delicious food! At 1:45PM we will be meeting at 119 E Chapman Ave to get set up for the protest which will begin at 2pm and end at 3pm. Parking is really good here as there is a public lot right next to and behind the Mcdonalds where we will be protesting, just be sure to not park on their property. Dress Attire: Business/casual preferred, jeans, skirts, etc. ▪️ About our protest No need to bring anything—we'll provide all the materials you need (posters and pamphlets) Our protest style is professional and silent. We will line the public sidewalk outside of McDonald’s with alternating signs and maintain a serious composure as customers and pedestrians pass. We will have specific people on the ends of the protest line designated to answer any questions. We will all be holding our signs level to each other with alternating images to maintain professionalism. A volunteer or two will be leafleting with pamphlets about our campaign. We'll have a photographer taking photos of the protest and we'll go on FB live during the event. Things we legally cannot do (as a heads up): block the sidewalk so that it interferes with traffic, march, or have amplified sound. Any Questions? Feel free to message event organizer Nicholas Eiser. ▪️About our campaign This campaign against McDonald’s is a part of our larger 88% campaign. We are asking McDonald’s to publicly commit to a meaningful welfare policy for the chickens in their supply chain, who currently have no protections in any way. Starbucks, Chipotle, TGI Fridays, Red Robin, Subway, and other major restaurant chains have all made a welfare policy. The time is NOW for McDonald’s to do the same! You can learn the details about the campaign at https://imnotlovinit.com/ We sincerely hope you join the Boston community for this truly historic demo which will greatly help MILLIONS of animals! For The Animals, Nicholas Eiser The Human League Volunteer By attending this event you agree to adhere to The Humane League's Safe Space Policy. The policy link and more information on this can be found here: https://thehumaneleague.org/safe-spaces/. Thank you for creating an uplifting and supportive space for all activists in our community!
