FREE Photo Walk: Ferry Building Farmer's Market and surrounds
Photowalks are resuming again and as some of you "old timers" know, my photowalks add the unique element of off-camera flash and talking to and photographing willing strangers to the mix. But don't let this frighten you off. Everybody is welcome and there are no pre-requisites other than wanting to hang out with a bunch of other enthusiastic photographers.
August is the height of summer fruits and vegetables. We will visit one of the best Farmer's Markets in the Bay Area, with the beautiful Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge as additional attractions. This is a perfect opportunity for photographing everything from still life to interesting characters, architecture and seascapes.
We'll explore the Farmer's Market, the Ferry Building setting and the ferry terminal behind it, then wander over to Pier 14 which juts into the Bay right in front of the Bay Bridge and Yerba Buena island. If you're game for more, the Bow and Arrow are just a few more steps away and in the other direction you'll run into famous Fisherman's Wharf.
This event is suitable for all photographers, no matter what level you are it. There won't be any formal lectures or talks, but come along and you may discover something new about San Francisco or learn a new trick that will improve your photography skills.
I look forward to seeing familiar faces as well as meeting new strobists.
How to find us:
The space in front of the Ferry Building will be teeming with food stalls and people, so we will meet near the streetcar stop nearest the pedestrian walkway in front of the Ferry Building before you cross the street.
