Badger Valley to Grand Pass Loop, Olympic National Park

Details
weather permitting
This is a challenging 12 mile loop hike with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain/loss. The trailhead is at 6,000 feet of elevation.
We start at 9am at the end of Obstruction Point Rd. We take the Deer Ridge Trail on the left for .3 miles, then descend steeply on the Badger Valley Trail for 4 miles. At the bottom, we take the trail back up hill on the right to Grand Lake, then continue on to Moose and Gladys Lakes. We will stop at Moose Lake primitive campground for lunch and a good rest before the steep ascent up Grand Pass Trail.
Bears are in this area, as well as mosquitoes.
Voluntary carpooling meets at the Olympic National Park Visitor's Center in Port Angeles at 730am.
I am limiting this to 8 hikers, so please don't RSVP until you are committed. Each vehicle must show a National Park Pass at the fee station, good for the driver and 3 occupants.
No dogs allowed. Vault toilet at the trailhead.
Obstruction Point Rd is an 8 mile, narrow, steep dirt road that begins at the top of Hurricane Ridge.
