5 miles on Heather Park Trail/Halfway Rock, ONP

This is a moderate 5 mile round-trip, out and back hike that starts at the Lake Angeles and Heather Park trailhead parking lot. Total elevation gain/loss is about 1,300 feet.
We will hike about 2.2 to 2.5 miles up and try to find the glacial erratic called Halfway Rock. The trail is well maintained and takes us through a lush forest.
No dogs allowed.
The small parking lot is up a short road on the right side of the Hurricane Ridge fee station. The fee station (and the gate up the mountain) will be closed so we don't have to show a National Park Pass.
